Born in Metz (France), Camille Renault began studying the piano and the cello at the conservatory of her native town. She then undertook further study in Reims with the cellist Marc-Didier Thirault. Recipient of the Maurice Gendron international cello competition in 2005, Camille entered the class of Yvan Chiffoleau in the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique of Lyon (France) one year later and obtained her Master’s degree in cello. She was also recipient of the sponsorship for musicians of the Société Générale Bank in 2009 and 2015 and performed as a soloist in different festivals, such as the Arsenal in Metz and in Germany with the concertos by Lalo, Haydn and Saint-Saëns. 

 

Camille loves chamber music and is often invited in different festivals in Europe (Thy Chamber Music Festival Danemark, La Roque d’Anthéron, le Festival des amis de Stuttgart, Festival de Saintes…). She created in particular the Ensemble Confluence (original quintet with flute, harp and string trio) and is a member of the Lontano Quartet. Her curiosity for modern music permits her to play with the ensemble Les Temps modernes, conducted by Fabrice Pierre. 

 

Member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, Camille Renault also works regularly with the German SWR-Sinfonieorchester Baden-Baden Freiburg, the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra or the Lyon Opera House. Camille Renault was recommended by famous cellists like Marcio Carneiro, Antonio Meneses, Martin Ostertag, Gary Hoffman and Anner Bylsma,  and has achieved her Master degree in the class of F-M Guthmann at the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe, Germany.

 

She also has a Master of Pedagogy (CA) and teaches at the Conservatory of Angers, such as in a summer master class in Château-Gontier (France). (see link below)

Camille Renault wurde 1985 in Metz, Frankreich geboren, wo sie zunächst am dortigen Konservatorium Klavier- und Cellounterricht bekam, um dann ihr Studium beim Cellisten Marc-Didier Thirault in Reims fortzusetzen. Nachdem sie bei dem Maurice-Gendron-Wettbewerb sowie beim Wettbewerb "Royaume de la Musique" ausgezeichnet wurde, hatte sie die Möglichkeit, solistisch und kammermusikalisch bei verschiedenen Festivals aufzutreten. 2006 trat sie Prof. Yvan Chiffoleaus Klasse im Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Lyon bei, wo sie ihr Master abschloss. Ihren zweiten Masterabschluss bei Frank-Michael Guthmann an der Musikhochschule Karlsruhe absolvierte sie 2013. Das Orchester sowie die Kammermusik zählen zu ihren Leidenschaften, weswegen sie häufig mit verschiedenen Gruppen in zahlreichen Festspielen (Thy Chamber Music Festival Danemark, La Roque d'Anthéron, le Festival de Saintes...) eingeladen ist. Camille hat insbesondere das Quintett Confluence (Streichtrio, Flöte und Harfe) gegründet, und ist Mitglied des Lontano Streichquartetts. 

 

Camille Renault war Mitglied des Gustav-Mahler-Jugendorchesters und spielt regelmässig bei dem SWR-Sinfonieorchester Baden-Baden und Freiburg, dem Opéra de Lyon, dem Orchestre de Paris, dem Mahler Chambers Orchestra, dem Opernhaus Zürich und bei dem Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France. Als Mitglied des Ensemble für moderne Musik Les Temps Modernes hat Camille mit Komponisten wie Tristan Murail, Helmut Lachenmann, Philippe Hersant oder Franck Yeznikian gearbeitet. 

 

Camille Renault hat 2017 ihr CA (Professor, Master Pädagogik) im Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris abgeschlossen. Sie lehrt an dem Conservatoire d'Angers, sowie bei einem Sommerkurs in Château-Gontier, Frankreich.
